Registrations for 2025-26 Season - Opening Soon!

Well can you believe it's already the middle of the year and as we hit the winter school holidays, just around the corner is winter sport finals, which can only mean one thing - cricket season will be here before you know it!

Whilst we have enjoyed a bit of a break from our beloved national sport (yes, it is officially cricket), with the World Test Championship final (whelp!), the Australian test series in the West Indies, plus India taking on England in the northern summer, can we ever truly escape? Do we even want to??

We are now very busy behind the scenes preparing for our 2025-26 season. This means we are just days away from opening our registrations! All details will be published on our website as soon as possible (leichhardtcricket.com) and we will send out communications once we are live.

2024-25 Presentation Night - Thank You!

Whilst we wait, it's worth a little bit of reflection on our fantastic presentation evening held back in May - what a superb night it was celebrating the 2024-25 season with our amazing Wanderers cricket community! Read on below.

Firstly, a massive thank you to our amazing committee and all our helpers who made our Presentation Night such an enjoyable and successful event! A lot of hard work goes in by our volunteers and their commitment should be acknowledged. We hope that you all enjoyed the event, we've certainly had a tonne of positive feedback!

A massive thanks also to our suppliers and partners: Mojo Picon (for the delicious paella), The Glitterarti (face painting), Great Meats Co., Wayward Brewing Co. and The Royal Hotel, Norton St Leichhardt.

Presentation Highlights

We crowned our major award winners on the night, as follows! Their names will be added to the cricket honours board at the Blackmore Clubhouse in the off season - keep an eye out next time you're there!

Please also congratulate Wanderers Medal nominees Louis Lecoanet and Nik Warmerdam! A big thank you also to Hayley Zauch (2024-25 medal winner) for giving her time to present this year's award.

And of course we were lucky enough to have two premiership winning teams for the 2024-25 season, who were all presented with the coveted 'baggy black' of the Leichhardt Wanderers Cricket Club, which is only awarded to premiership winning players (and their coach!).

IWHJCA Major Award Winners!

As if winning our club's major awards wasn't enough, to further demonstrate their dominant seasons, both Beth Coughlin and Bede Russell took out the Inner West Harbour Junior Cricket Association's major individual awards for Female Champion Player & Male Champion Player, respectively! This is, in fact, the second season Beth has won this award, after taking home top honours for 2023-24!

An amazing achievement from both our Wanderers champions - we are all so proud of you and representing this club with such honour and humility!
