We offer two programs for our youngest players to build their skills, meet new friends and enjoy cricket:
Blast Skills

Basic skills development for ages 5 to 7 years

8-week program

Runs from October to December

Fridays from 4.30pm to 5.30pm

Held at Blackmore Oval, Leichhardt

We use plastic bats and rubber balls, no protective gear is required

Blast Games
-
Introductory T12 game format (24 overs in total, approx. 1.5hrs) for Under 8/9s
-
6-8 players per team, with 6 players on the field at one time
-
Saturdays at 8.30am

17-week season, no ladder or finals
-
Season runs October to December, breaks for holidays and returns late January to March

Choose between single-venue (same each week) or multi-venue (changes from week-to-week) options

Training is one hour per week at Blackmore Oval in Leichhardt, usually on Friday afternoons

We use plastic bats and rubber balls, no protective gear is required

Select your Blast t-shirt when you register, no additional club uniform requirements (club game shirt is optional)
Which age group?
Cricket ‘age’ is determined at midnight on 31st August. For example, if a player turns 7 on or before 31st August, they will be in Under 8, if they turn 8 on or before 31st August they will be in Under 9, and so on.

Playing with friends?
This is usually no problem and we do our best to accommodate requests, please provide details of friends in the space available when completing your registration form.
