PlayCricket - Fixtures & Scores

ree

PlayCricket App

The PlayCricket app is usually the best source for fixtures, scores & statistics:

  • Fixtures for the U8 Blast competition can be found under: Inner West Harbour Junior Cricket Association > U8 Cricket Blast Competition - Boronia Park

  • Fixtures for the U9 Blast competition can be found under: Inner West Harbour Junior Cricket Association > Cricket Blast Competition - Multi-venue

  • Fixtures for IWHJCA teams can be found under: Competitions > Leichhardt Wanderers Cricket Club > Inner West Harbour Junior Cricket Association

  • Fixtures for Sixers Cricket League teams can be found under: Competitions > Leichhardt Wanderers Cricket Club > Sixers Cricket League - Sydney South East

However! The app is currently a bit buggy and not displaying all competition rounds. Cricket NSW is working on a fix. In the meantime, for upcoming fixtures, please use the PlayHQ website (see section below).

PlayHQ Website

You can find upcoming fixtures on the PlayHQ website at the following links:

e-Scoring

For all junior cricket matches, home teams are required to score using the electronic scoring PlayHQ app:

ree

We encourage all teams to have a group of volunteers to share the e-scoring from week to week. However it's important to note that in order to access e-scoring for your team, you need to be registered. It is free to register, but the club needs to provide you with the access. Please get in touch with your team manager to help set this up for yourself.

Team managers can also obtain a list of those volunteers and we can set them up all in one go! You will only need to provide your name, e-mail and phone number linked to your PlayHQ account (which is required to register a player).

Tip! Paper scoring books are used as back up to the app, which is typically the away team's responsibility. However, there is nothing stopping both teams from using the app - but only the home team is logged in for "live" scoring. Check out our scoring resources on the Cricket Hub for more details.

Cricket Hub

On our website, we have created a page called Cricket Hub as your one-stop-shop for all of the useful information you should need throughout the season. This includes:

  • All rules & playing conditions for each format / competition

  • Scoring guides & resources

  • Code of conduct & procedures

  • Child safety documents

  • Coaching resources

  • Club calendar

  • Equipment checklist

  • Fielding map

  • And more!

We strongly encourage everyone to have a look through the page. Most questions people have can be answered via the documents on this page. If you feel something is missing, please get in touch: leichhardtcricket@gmail.com

Match Reports & Highlights

Returning this season is our weekly newsletter (sent via e-mail and published on our News page), where we will feature team match reports, performance highlights & our season honour roll.

This was a big success last season, so we strongly encourage all teams to send us a (brief!) match report & highlight any individual achievements by Monday night each week.

You can see examples from last season on our News page, plus our Honours page has more information on the honour roll!

LWCC Girls at Sydney Cricket Club, Drummoyne Oval

ree

Leichhardt Wanderers Cricket Club is working very hard to continue to grow the game for girls in Sydney's inner west. If you know any girls who want to play, please get in touch with the club or refer them on. We are proud to say we now have a dedicated information portal for girls cricket on our website - Girls Cricket.

Last week, our girls were lucky enough to be treated to a training session with the Sydney Cricket Club at Drummoyne Oval. Bangladesh international, Jahanara Alam, showed the girls some bowling basics, and Hayley Zauch - a former Wanderer - led them through a fielding session.

There will be further opportunities throughout the season - Sydney Cricket Club is here to support the IWHJCA and local clubs, offering a special coaching program with local cricket role models and professional coaches to help young cricketers grow and enjoy the game. Watch this space!

Online Shop - Back Open!

We have re-opened the online shop for all your uniform & merchandise needs throughout the season. Click the image below to access the store, or it can be found on our website: leichhardtcricket.com

Please note - unfortunately the club isn't able to offer home delivery for orders. All ordered items can be collected from our uniforms manager, Brian Stout, at the Blackmore storage shed, 6pm-7pm Fridays over the coming weeks.

Wishing you all the best for your first match and for the season ahead! Let's go Wanderers!!!
