Reminder that today - 31st August - is the last day to register in order to secure your team allocation. (Registrations will remain open after this date and through September, however team allocation will occur on a best-efforts basis).

If so, join one of our Sixers Cricket League mixed teams on Sundays!
We have the option for our junior players to form mixed teams in U13, U15 or U17, all who play on either Sunday mornings or afternoons. More details can be found by clicking the logo below!
For 2026-27, we have a brand new pre-season initiative to get our juniors ready for the cricket season - two weekend club-wide training sessions focused on fielding, with a bit of fitness and running-between-wickets thrown in!
It's not always a well-known fact that fielding can be the key to a great cricket team - indeed players at every level will spend more time fielding than any other aspect of the game! During these interactive sessions, we will have drills and activities set up to cover: throwing, ground fielding, high catching, close catching and running between wickets.
Join us for two club-wide training sessions, details below:
🤾 Who? Registered LWCC juniors of any age - drills will be tailored for age groups
🗓️ Sunday 20th and 27th September
⏱️ 11am-1pm
📍 Blackmore Oval, Leichhardt
💰 Cost: Free!
No equipment is needed, just bring your hat, sunscreen and some water!
All registered LWCC junior players are welcome, but to help us manage numbers, please register for free, via the website form here.

Volunteers' Night
Previously known as our 'Coaches & Managers Night', join us at the Blackmore Clubhouse on Saturday 10th October, from 4pm, for a *free* BBQ and refreshments and meet your fellow club coaches, managers and volunteers. The club will brief all volunteers for the season ahead and will be your chance to ask any questions.
This year the event is a little closer to the season start date, so all teams are set and ready for round one the following week. All junior volunteers are invited to attend, which not includes coaches and managers, but any assistant coaches, scorers or other volunteers who put their hand up to regularly assist over the season.
We expect at least one representative from each junior team to attend to ensure any relevant information is received and any questions answered.

Kit Collection
As we are working through team allocations, busily finalising our new club equipment orders we expect to be able to announce our kit collection windows very soon. Kit collection will be at the cricket storeroom at Blackmore Park. Watch this space!
Coach 360
Cricket Australia's new online coaching platform - Coach360 - is now live. Coach360 offers flexible learning and recognised certification for every coach. We strongly encourage all junior coaches to jump on to the below site and enrol in a program ahead of the season.
Finally, our Cricket Hub should be your first port of call for any questions you might have. The Hub has a wealth of resources including playing conditions for the various stages, competition by-laws, scoring resources, etc. Please familiarise yourself with this valuable club resource - click the graphic below!
